He jogged happily on to the land. Tail in the air. It wasn't perfect but it was good. He had his first mare. A truely great mare too. He came to a stop and waited for her. It was a fairly large terrian. In the distance you could hear the stream bubbling and birds singing their welcome to them. If he wished to stay in this terrian it would one day have foals and mares on it, perhaps one or two young colts he had gathered like he had gathered the mares, not born to him. He turned and watched his mare come to him.

Larain slowly follwed into the terrain. It was beautiful to her though she had never seen a real home in many a year. She walked to her lord and carefully dipped her dial. M'Lord you land she is beautiful the trees ar lush and green and the grass is tender. It is a great home to hopeful me, and a foal or two. Larain said. The last part slipped out she felt that way yes but she didn't know if he did. She wanted a foal but mabey only because she was in heat. She diudn't know why she felt that way but she did and she couldn't take back her words.

He nodded to her. He was fairly happy that she was in heat and would clearly want a foal. If that was what she wanted that is what she would get. He would happy to have a foal here the land was fine really but was it really what he wanted? "Yes, it is all right here." Dakota replied. "If you wish to have a foal you may have it when you wish, I would only wish you think about it." Now she would know. They had just met and she may not yet be sure, only excited but she seemed wise, to wise for the foolishness of jumping into something before she was ready. If they had a foal it would be grown before he would make another trip to the claim for another mare. He had once seen a mare whom had near killed a new born. He mare was chased out and he laughed. It however was not the kind of mare he would want in his herd, he needed to be careful about that. He looked at her for reply, her wish was what she would get.

Larain listened closely. Yes lord I know it slipped out. You must think things over slowly to see if there was any catches. Larain said grimly. She was hopping that he hadn't heard her wish but he had. She slowly turned her body to get a look of all around her. It was a nice home quite and peaceful. She turned back to Dakota and smiled. Your home is a work of art she said nuzzeling him. She was hoping to drop the subject as quickly as possible.

He returned her nuzzle. He really didn't love the talk of foals. He loved them alot but talking about having them wasn't his favorite topic and so he was thankful for her changing the subject. It really wasn't a wonderland but he may stay here until he knew for sure if he wanted to leave. He was beginning to like it more, this mare had added alot on to it. "Yes it is quite peaceful here isnt it." That he had to admitt, for he hadn't been in so much silence in so much time, the foliage help with that too.

He felt her mass closer to his. He gazed off in to the distance. "No." The sun was begining to set making the sky change colors, adding beauty to the land. He had made his decision, he would stay here. The land was missing something he just couldn't tell what.

Larain slowly nodded it would be a great change in some ones life to have now one mare though for the first part of your life have none. I see Larain said shortly she glanced off into the setting sun. It was beautiful.

He had to start somewhere and he was glad with where he had. "Eventually there will be more here for your company." Dakota nuzzled the mare next to him. "They shall be ones of your liking as well as mine." He glanced back to the sun setting. It would soon be dark.

He looked down at her. "Yes I shall respect my mares with the respect they earn and deserve." The sun was completely gone now as the moon had appeared, lighting the sky with its glow. He looked off the cave then changed his mind, no they wouldn't really need them until winter came. Ah well he could at least make them noticed. "If you wish to sleep you may sleep out here under the stars or in the protection of the cave." He really didn't wish to sleep at the time but he may however he would make sure his mare was in his sight at all times.

"As you wish" He was fairly happy she was not yet going to sleep for neither was he. He liked this mare, he was glad he had gotten her as he hated to waste time, especially his, she was not a waste of time. He nickered to her and watched shooting stars in the night sky.

Larain nuged Dakota and then turned to run. It was her way as playing tag. She had alot of fun with it when she was a child. Larain looked back to see if Dakota was following her moves.

He looked to her then quickly caught on. He began to gallop after her. He now remembered the game as he had played it and many others when he was a child.

Larain quickly sped up to an even fast gallop. She was going to her limits now but she was having fun. She turned once again to see Dakota catching up quickly. She turned sharply being carful not to run into the tree at her side. She kept going what you could call straight zig-zaging around the many trees. SHe came back through the wooded area into the clear. She saw dakota now even further behind her. She had learned that trick when she was young to run into the bush and keep running untill you no longer hear them behind you. She loved that trick.

He felt himself fall behind her. He galloped to something close to his limit going into the brush. He had made himself disappear galloping so he would end up in front of Larian. When he had gotten their he turned sharply before touching her. Wonder what she would do next.
